Most people often purchase travel insurance to give them a safer comfort feeling during their holiday rather then aiming to claim or gain back something if events do occur
I will reveal on what you can claim and when you can claim from the travel insurance you purchased.
When you can claim:
- Travelers are eligible to file a claim if their flight is canceled due to hurricane or any other natural disaster upon where their flight is heading or where their flight is leaving from.
- If an event occurs to your house and leaving it uninhabitable during your holiday, travel insurance can cover for the cost of the trip if you decide to end your holiday early.
- Emergency event causing you to evacuate certain area that is included or part of your holiday trip can be covered if you are forced to extend or cut short on your holiday.
- Your travel insurance should also cover the cost of leaving your trip early if you are forced to evacuate certain area.
What you can claim:
- If you ever fall ill or were injured during your holiday, the travel insurance should cover all your medical expenses and other extra fees to bring you back home early if needed.
- Lost or stolen baggage should also be covered in your travel insurance, even if your bag is delayed, reimbursement for the purchase of necessities that were made before retrieving your luggage
- Don’t leave yourself sleeping inside the airport on an empty stomach, most travel insurance covers all your daily needs such as food or hospitality and even transportation if your flight is delay or canceled
